The Common Agricultural Policy of the European Union is implemented in Cyprus through the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Strategic Plan 2023-2027, which has been prepared by the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment and has been approved by the European Commission.

The CAP Strategic Plan is implemented gradually from January 1, 2023 through the announcements of the individual interventions. It includes among others, subsides (per hectare), subsides for investments in the agricultural sector and in the processing of agricultural products, subsides for young people to set up in the agricultural sector, a multitude of environmental and climate interventions, as well as animal welfare interventions.
