Short Description/Objective:

The aim of this Scheme is to improve safety, health, hygiene, working conditions and energy efficiency, provided that these investments will not increase the fishing capacity of the fishing vessels.


Expected Benefits/Outcomes:

Investments on fishing vessels to improve safety, health, hygiene, working conditions and energy efficiency. The ability to invest in improving working conditions is an essential need to address health and safety risks and improve health and hygiene, as well as to ensure decent work in fishing but also the cultural fishing heritage.

In addition, investments to improve energy efficiency contribute at the same time to the goal of “A Greener and more Resilient Europe” and lead to a reduction in the operational costs of fishermen, contributing to the resilience and competitiveness of the fishing sector.
