About Common Fisheries Policy
The objective of Common Fisheries Policy (CFP) is the fishery and aquaculture growth while retaining the diversity of the maritime and resources.
This Policy is based on four major pillars:
Retention and management of resources
Common organisation of the market
Infrastructure and management of European fleet
Relations with non-EU countries
The CFP is funded in Cyprus by the European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund (EMFAF).
Funding Resources and Fund
For the programming period 2021-2027, the Republic of Cyprus, within the framework of the CFP, secured from EMFAF, resources of a total amount of €38.3M.
The utilisation of the aforementioned resources will be achieved based on the Maritime, Fishery and Aquaculture Programme.
