Cohesion Policy contributes to the enhancement of economic, social and territorial cohesion across the European Union (EU). It intends to correct imbalances between countries and regions contributing to the green and digital transition.
It supports job creation, business competitiveness, economic growth, sustainable development and the improvement of citizens’ life-quality.

Funds Contribution
Policy Objectives (PO):
The Cohesion Policy of EU during the programming period 2021-2027 focuses on five major Policy Objectives (PO):
By promoting Innovation and Digital Transformation and supporting Small and Medium Enterprises.
By promotimg Energy Efficiency, Renewable Energy Sources, Circular Economy, Adaptation to Climate Change, Biodiversity, Sustainable Urban Mobility and Water Resources Management.
Through the development of Strategic Transport Networks.
By supporting Employment, Education, Training and Social Inclusion.
Through the implementation of projects by the Local Authorities for promoting the Sustainable and Integrated Development of Urban and non-Urban Areas.
