Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF)

Short Description/Objective:

The project concerns the operation and management of an Accommodation Centre for at least 45 unaccompanied minors from third countries, located within the Republic of Cyprus and, more specifically, boys aged 13 to 18 who are under the custody of the Director of Social Welfare Services. Unaccompanied minors benefit from food provision and coverage of their basic needs. At the same time, through a personalised and holistic approach, they receive support and rehabilitation services, as well as access to educational activities tailored to their needs.

Expected Benefits/Outcomes:

The services provided to unaccompanied minors, beyond food provision and the coverage of basic needs, include social, psychological and legal support, as well as courses and workshops. Therefore, the benefits for this target group relate to the development of their social skills and their social integration, facilitating their daily needs and interaction with the local community. This also reduces the risk of isolation and supports their integration in the medium and long term.
